Ghost Balloons
Resources - White balloons, markers, black paper, sellotape, scissors, crepe paper (optional)
I loved this activity and it is so simple. Blow up a white balloon and tie it (either a knot or with tape. Fold a piece of black paper in half and cut a circle/oval (it should make 2). Keeping both eyes together cut a spiral into them and tape inside of the spiral to the balloon. Remember to keep the know of the balloon at the top or else they will be hanging upside down!! Finally draw on the rest of the ghosts facial features. If you want to you can also tape strips of crepe paper to the back of the balloon to have a ghostly trail.
Resources - 2 A4 coloured card (any colour), paper in a different colour, glue, scissors, cotton wool
Keeping the 2 pieces of card together cut a large bell shape out of the card. Fold the card over and cut a hole for your foot. Cut teeth in the bottom of the bell shape. Cut triangles out of the paper and glue on the monster's 'nails'. Put glue around the front of the foot and add the cotton wool. Remember never put glue on the cotton wool as you will only end up with a cotton wool covered glue stick, instead put the glue on the paper/card and then apply the cotton wool to that material.
Option 1
Resources - 4 sheets of paper, glue, cut outs of eyes/nose/mouth/ears/pumpkins
Option 2
Resources - 8 sheets of paper, ribbon/string, glue, cut outs as above
Option 1
Fold the sheets of paper in an accordion fashion. Separate and fold each piece of paper in half. Glue the edges that meet. You should have a full circle when finished.
Option 2
Fold the sheets of paper in an accordion fashion. Glue the edges together. Tie in the centre with ribbon or string. Join the top and bottom edges together.
Decorate both options as you like. (I forgot my cat's ears and my pumpkin's stalk)
